So yesterday I have the biggest urge to get out of the house and go to Ikea. It is such a wonderful store, there are so many things to look at and good ideas to think about that I always walk away feeling satisfied, even if I didn't buy a thing! Anyway my mother-in-law, Marcy, came and I was driving because that was easier with little John. Remember our car trouble from the last post? Well, the hammer remedy didn't last too long! After about 15 minutes of driving I look down and noticed the battery light was on, bummer! I pulled in to the first place I could, and we called John to come rescue us.
As we waited we noticed we were at a Ford car sales lot (we drive Ford) which also had a service department, hmmm.... Well, John arrived with the hammer (haha!) but it had no effect this time, we were stuck. But I think we were stuck in the right place. The workers there took our poor car in for "diagnosis" and we headed home. We received a call confirming that it was indeed the altenator, and it would be fixed in the morning. Sure, we'll be paying John's parents back for it but it had to be done, especially since John starts work tommorow! Looking back, the whole experience has a feeling of guidance through it. A sudden urge to go to Ikea which takes us by the car shop that is close to home and able to fix it so quickly. We are certainly aware of these blessings in our life and the love our Heavenly Father shows us daily.
They called this morning to let us know the car was done so we all got ready and went on our way. John took our car home. Marcy, little John and I continued on to Ikea.
