Things I've been up to

My latest 'home adjustment' has possibly been my boldest. We have one wall that I was anxious to spruce up. The plan was color, bright green color! But paint was decided against, too messy and too long-term. So I compromised with fabric, and had found some at Ikea for a good price, and in the shade I needed. Of course, being Ikea, there were many other choices and I deviated! It was cheaper, much more daring, and for some reason I fell in love with it!

Yes...those are birds on our wall. :) Little John loves to point at, and touch them. Dad even likes it-but feels it needs a mounted shot gun (such a guy!). I think it's perfect and am quite happy with it. Certainly not a professional job, but I am satisfied.

I had a little extra "creative juice" afterward, and decided to try my 'hand' at finger painting. (haha!) The green and red looked so scrumptious to me, but it needed something...so little John helped me out by adding some yellow. I call it "Sunshine".
