It seems like so much has happened since the last post, how can I put it all into words! I guess I will start with last Thursday.
John went to Target for an interview and was gone for 3 and 1/2 hours! I figured it must be good and it was! He had 2 interviews, they offered him the job and he took the famous drug test. When the results are in Target will call for John to get started. I didn't think it would take this long for the phone call, but oh well! At least we know he has a job lined up! Of course we will keep looking for better opportunities, but in the mean time this is a huge blessing from our Heavenly Father who loves us oh so much.
On Friday we were able to take our car in for a badly needed oil change. As we waited for our turn in the drive through the poor car died! We thought it must be the battery and the good guys at Victory Lane gave us a jump to get into the garage. The oil was changed, tires filled with air and we were notified of a number of things needing to be attended to in the near future (the usual routine). After another jump we prayed our way home! Every 10 or 20 seconds it seemed like the car would just coast before revving up again, and we had no electrics at all! Whew! It was intense. John hooked the battery up to a battery charger and we left it to recharge. Later that night John and his dad looked at the car and discovered the problem was the alternator, and would be some $200 to fix. Strangely I didn't panic, I think I subconsciously decided not to think about it, and somehow felt it would be okay. Besides, I was busy putting up Halloween decorations! It was fun, and we are enjoying the effects.
Later that night James and Stephanie arrived for the weekend! We had a blast! The women and baby went to an apple orchard, Stephanie cut my hair and introduced me to green eye shadow, we watched a scary movie, made (and ate) 2 different recipes of apple crisp, and just hung out to everyone's satisfaction! Little John was of course very popular and was passed around the dinner table more than once. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure!

Fun stuff! They had to leave too soon, we miss them!
As I posted the pictures I remembered another apple orchard excursion little John and I went on with Aunt Lindsey and cousin Nathan the weekend before.
I just love this season! And I am so lucky to be able to share it with our little boy. He is growing up so fast! 6 months old and very, very curious! He loves to touch, taste, grab, chew and move around as much as possible. Ahhhh, he just melts my heart.
Before I end I should mention that our car works now. A knowledgeable man from church told us to whack it with a hammer. So we did! If only all of life's problems were fixed so easily!

"He loves to touch, taste, grab, chew and move around as much as possible."
Umm I don't think in that order. It's more like Wiggle closer to object, Touch/Grab, Shove quickly into mouth, Chew.
Thank you for the correction. :)
Not a Problem my Love :D
