Litte Pleasures

I had my first facial! At least my first one not done by me in my own bathroom! I had a "Girls Day Out" with my sisters Lindsey and Michelle, trying to create memories before dear sweet Michellie leaves for her mission! We went to the "Monroe College of Beauty", and felt very adventurous! They could only accommodate two at a time so I hung back while Lindsey and Michelle were lead away.

So I read through the services they offered and marveled at how cheap they all were! I couldn't pass up a $5.00 haircut! I told the girls at the front desk that I would like a haircut while I waited and they were very happy to set it up for me. I heard some girls pass it along that I was getting a facial AND a haircut! I felt that I must have been the closest thing to a full makeover that they've ever seen or done there! It was great!
As the student snipped my hair and chatted away I found that their regular hair customers were mostly elderly, and so when it came to giving me a side-swept bang and face frame she retrieved her instructor. As she took over and described the technique and method needed, I was suddenly aware of the other students leaning in their chairs and peaking around mirrors to watch and listen. It was so satisfying to know that my being there was helping these girls to learn and experience what they needed to progress!

My hair was finished just as Lindsey came out with her fresh and glowing face! And so off I went! I was lead into a darkened room with relaxing ocean music playing quietly, and before laying on the bed type thing I caught a glimpse of Michelle, having something put on her face with what looked like a paint brush. :)
Once I was settled, my new student began her magic! Rubbing things on, wiping things off, massaging my whole face...my brain is starting to relax and shut down just thinking about it! Ahhh, I never knew it would feel so good. I've decided that I need to do this more often, I mean, those girls need help with their schooling! It's the least I can do. Anyone want to come with?!

All in all I think it was a successful memory maker for the three of us. I know I won't forget it!
